1. What kind of materials do you work with?
Zim + Teemo's objective is to make the most of vintage, unconventional, and upcycled materials whenever possible. In cases where new materials are needed, natural fibers are used. Vintage buttons, trims, lace and notions are sourced from local thrift shops and small businesses.
2. Are all your pieces made in-house?Yes, all the pieces are singularly crafted by Gurleen in her studio located in New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition to designing, cutting, and sewing, she uses natural dyes and foraged plants and flowers from the neighborhood to create one of a kind textiles. This approach allows her to immerse fully in the design process. As a result, each piece carries its own unique story and character.
